Born August 30, 1938 in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard Moreland and Helen Marie Garrett Goode. Married

Susanne Galloway on March 20, 1969 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Surviving family members include his parents, Richard and Helen Goode; wife, Susanne; seven children, Sherry, Cindy, Richard, John, Michael, Kathryn, and Elizabeth; sister, Joyce; and seven grandchildren.

Dick had been managing partner of the

accounting firm Coopers and Lybrand since 1978. He is President-elect and Director of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. He was to assume his duties as President of NASBA in October of 1991. Member of the Continuing Education Standards Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public

Accountancy. He received the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants Outstanding CPA Award in 1990 for his leadership in passing a new Utah accountancy act. First President of Utah AICPA to be appointed to two five year terms. He was President of the National Association of Accountants. He served on the Advisory Boards to the School of Accountancy at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.

He served as Treasurer for the Hansen Planetarium. Member of the Alta Club. Chairman of the Salt Lake City Library, the United States Film and Video Festival and the United Way Key Man Club. Board member of the Utah Association for Retarded Citizens.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving as the Ward financial clerk and Stake Auditor. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed flying and playing tennis.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday September 25, 1991 at the Monument Park 13th Ward Chapel, 1300 South Wasatch Drive. Friends may call at the church Tuesday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. and also Wednesday 10:45-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
