ORIGIN OF CITY'S NAME
Orginally part of Kaysville but isolated from the main part of that city, residents along the bench area of the Wasatch Mountains first formed a water district to bring in water, then formed into their own town, Because of its bench location and numerous orchards in the area, they called the city Fruit Heights.
