"I lost a bet to my best friend . . . because I said I wasn't going to cry," Jordan said. "But it's tough."About 1,000 people, including the former University of North Carolina star's family, crowded a muddy corner along Interstate 40 on Monday for the ceremony. Jordan attended Laney High School in Wilmington and received his latest honor about a mile from his alma mater.
