A father in Fayette County, Pa.,has won the right to become a "twirlette" so he can accompany his baton-twirling 7-year-old daughter in parades.

Kerry Rath, 45, of Prittstown had filed a sex discrimination complaint against the East Huntingdon Township Twirlettes Mothers Club. The state Human Relations Commission settled the dispute last week after four hours of negotiations."It's settled - he's in," said Patricia Skero, club president.

Rather, whose two daughters are members of the baton-twirling group, was denied membership to the mothers club in July 1990. He won a ruling by the Human Relations Commission that he had probable cause to join.
