Ruth Riches Christensen Viestenz, 82, passed away December 29, 1991, at the home of her son.
Born June 22, 1909, Salt Lake City to Melvin J. and Elsie Saville Riches. Married James R. Christensen, March 19, 1931, Salt Lake City; he died 1935. MarriedIrvin E. Viestenz, May 29, 1941, Salt Lake City; he died July 26, 1976. She was a retired bank teller, Murray First Bank and Walker Bank. Member LDS Church.
Survivors: son, Donald R. and wife, Jackie Christensen, Taylorsville; four grandsons, James D. Christensen and wife, Holly, Denver, Colo.;
Hal R. Christensen and wife, Dawn, Kyle D.
Christensen, Dale J. Christensen; one granddaughter, Colleen Christensen Norton and husband, Grant, all Taylorsville; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen McDuffie, New Symrna Beach, Florida.
Funeral services Friday, January 3, 12 noon, Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, where friends may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and Friday, one hour prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to Primary Childrens Hospital, 100 No. Medical Dr., SLC UT 84113
