John Ralston, who coached at Stanford and Utah State, and Morgan State's Earl Banks were elected along with 11 former All-America selections to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Joining the coaches were quarterback Craig Morton of California; running backs Ron Johnson of Michigan and Bob Odell of Penn; defensive lineman Jack Youngblood of Florida; offensive linemen Lou Michaels of Kentucky, Loyd Phillips of Arkansas and Jim Weatherall of Oklahoma; linebackers Jim Lynch of Notre Dame and Larry Morris of Georgia Tech, and receivers Art Weiner of North Carolina and Howard Twilley of Tulsa.
