Coach Marv Levy gave no reason for his dismissal of Dickerson.Dickerson, 54, was not available for comment, but the colorful assistant coach may have bothered the low-key Levy.
In the week before the Bills lost 37-24 to the Redskins in Sunday's Super Bowl, Dickerson jokingly took on the Redskins' Hogs on the offensive line. He said Joe Jacoby drooled, Jim Lachey had bad breath and Jeff Bostic ate grease.
After the Redskins dominated the Bills in the Super Bowl, the Washington linemen said they got fired up for the game after seeing a video tape of Dickerson's comments on Saturday.
"You can misinterpret on purpose," Dickerson said Monday. "I was having a little fun."
