Five people were injured, one critically, in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Clearfield. Daylin Medell, 15, is in critical condition at LDS Hospital, where he was taken by air ambulance after the 3:10 p.m. accident, according to Clearfield police.

The teenager was in the back seat of a car that was struck from behind by a pickup truck while making a left turn at 1045 S. 1000 West, according to police.The other four victims were treated at Humana Hospital Davis North and discharged, police reported. The names of the other people involved and the cause of the accident, which police said is still under investigation, have not been released.
