My name is John Rex Pace.
I was born May 25, 1919 to Harvey Alexander and Margart Moffitt Pace in Mt. Home, Utah. My childhood experiences on the ranch were centered around livestock and horses. I went from riding horses to driving them. From the time I was old enough to sit on a mower and hay rake, I helped with the farming. After graduating from high school, I served an LDS mission in the Central States.I volunteered to serve my country in the Marine Corps in 1942. I was wounded on the Russell Islands and spent months in hospitals recovering from those injuries. When I returned home, I found work at the Defense Depot in Ogden. I met my wife, Thelma, on a blind date and we were married three weeks later, on March 10, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
We have one daughter, Judy Lee Bowman. She has always been a joy to her mother and I. Because she was an only child, she helped me with all the farming and has the love of horses as do I. I have three wonderful grandson, Mark, Ryan, and Daren, who love to help me with the horses and my work.
In 1969, I went to work as a private contractor for Lagoon Corp. where I was working at the time of my death.
My hobbies are horses, horses, horses!
