Which stars are likely to shine at Bill Clinton's inauguration?
Now that the election is over, it's time to plan the Jan. 20 gala.Possible performers, according to Entertainment Weekly, include Barbra Streisand, Michael Bolton, Aretha Franklin, and R.E.M. lead singer Michael Stipe. All made appearances for the Democrats during the campaign.
Other possibilities could include a reunited Fleetwood Mac (the Clinton-Gore ticket used their song "Don't Stop" for a campaign theme) and Judy Collins (new first daughter Chelsea Clinton supposedly got her name from Collins' version of Joni Mitchell's song "Chelsea Morning").
Stars who aren't likely to get special invitations include "Major Dad" Gerald McRaney, muscle-man Arnold Schwarz- enegger and Shannen Doherty of "Beverly Hills, 90210," who made appearances at the GOP convention.
Also not likely to get any special notice is Cher, who called CNN's "Larry King Live" program to voice her support for Ross Perot.
