A daughter has been born to TV talk show host Geraldo Rivera and his wife, C.C. Dyer, who had shared their infertility problems with viewers, their spokesman said Sunday.

The 9-pound, 8-ounce baby was born Saturday at a Manhattan hospital. She was named Isabella Holmes, said publicist Jeff Erdel.Rivera, 49, and Dyer, 36, a producer, had discussed their effort to overcome infertility on the show in 1990. They announced last May that after five years and six operations, they were expecting a child.

Both mother and daughter were doing well.
