If Adam Galli, charged with murder while on bail on robbery charges, does not show up within 20 days his family and friends may have to forfeit seven cars, a condominium and cash.

Adam Galli's father, Stephen, may forfeit three cars. His mother, uncle and two family friends also could lose their cars. And his aunt, Dina Galli, faces loss of her Holladay condominium."Our hope is he comes in now," Dina Galli said. "It would delight me to no end if he showed up for Christmas dinner. We'd feed him first and then call authorities."

Adam Galli's father, 43, a social worker, said he is devastated that his son fled. "We never expected he would do this to us. Of course, we never expected any of this."

Adam Galli, 24, and his brother Aaron, 22, are charged in the shooting death of Green Parrot Cafe employee Merritt Riordan, 29, during a robbery on May 17.

A week before the murder charges were filed, Adam Galli jumped bail, set at $40,000, on charges in a number of robberies.

Dina Galli, 34, said the Galli family is not thinking only of their cars and condominium.

"Someone is dead. We feel an immense amount of sorrow and compassion for the (murder victim's) family," she said. "There are victims all over the place, and we are quickly becoming some of them."

Dina Galli said she and others posted Adam Galli's bail as much for his father's sake as for Adam's, so Galli could spend time with his son.

"Would I do it again? The circumstances are so emotional and complex, and there are so many issues," she said. "The decision can't be based only on finances."

Adam Galli's father said the bail forfeiture is "just one more layer" to the pain and confusion he has experienced since his two sons and his two nephews were accused in several armed robberies in Salt Lake County.

Aaron Galli is in jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Nathan Galli, 19, has pleaded guilty to one robbery and plans to plead to two more.

Nathan Galli's brother Christopher, 18, testified this week against Aaron Galli during a preliminary hearing in the murder case.
