Emma Louise Overson Bentley, age 91, died Dec. 27, 1992 of causes incidental to age.

She was born April 19, 1901 in Leamington, Utah to Joseph and Mabel Janette Smith Overson. She married Ray Bentley, October 6, 1919 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple.Louise was preceded in death by Ray, her husband of 50 years, and her daughters Priscilla June Bentley and Bonnie Bernice Bentley Tubbs Cote'.

Louise was a long time resident of Salt Lake city. After retiring, she enjoyed doing genealogy work, writing about her lifes' experience and teaching children to play the piano. During the last two years, and with the aid of Floyd Bradfield, she wrote a book on the history of Leamington. Louise enjoyed doing arts and crafts, especially drawing, painting and sewing. She will be remembered for her wonderful nature and delightful sense of humor. Louise was a member of the Salt Lake 19th Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Louise is survived by her brother, Reed Overson, Walla Walla, Wash.; daughters, Mrs. Edward (Cleo L.) Brown, Bountiful; Mrs. Wes (Melba J.) Winegar, Taylorsville; Mrs. Frank (Iris J.) Martinez, La Puente, Calif.; her son, Joseph R. Bentley, West Jordan; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wed., December 30, 1992 in the Salt Lake Stake 19th Ward Chapel, 225 West Fifth North, at 10 a.m. Utah. A viewing for her family and friends will be held Tuesday between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 7th South. Viewing will also be at the ward one hour prior to services.
