The Milwaukee Bucks Friday traded forward Alaa Abdelnaby to the Boston Celtics for unsigned first round draft pick Jon Barry and a second round draft choice in 1995.

Abdelnaby was expected to be in uniform Friday night when the Celtics host Miami. Barry is expected to be with the Bucks for this afternoon's game in New York.Barry, the son of former NBA star Rick Barry, had been unable to reach a contract agreement with the Celtics after being selected 21st overall in the draft.

Barry's stock in the draft rose when he was named to the Orlando Classic All-Tournament team in April. The 6-5, 195-pound guard averaged 17.2 points, 5.9 assists and 2.0 steals a game as a senior to lead Georgia Tech in all three categories. Barry also led the school in three-point field goals with 99. He averaged 15.9 points and 3.7 assists a game as a junior.

Abdelnaby, who played at Duke, was selected 25th overall in the first round of the 1990 draft by Portland. The 6-10, 240-pounder, who was born in Egypt, was traded to Milwaukee July 1 for the rights to first round draft pick Tracy Murray.
