Donald Morgan Hackney, age 56, died December 7, 1992 in a Salt Lake hospital.
He was born July 26, 1936 in Clarksville, Arkansas, son of Morgan Ferrell and Mina Rowe Hackney. Married Sharon Leautaud November 10, 1966 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Former employee of US Steel Coal Cleaning Plant at Wellington for 21 years. Member and past secretary of UMWA Local #1206. Retired from Utah Power & Light Hunter Plant with 12 years service. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends.Survived by his wife, Price; mother, Mina Hackney, East Carbon City; three sons and their spouses, Shane and Donie Hackney; Dustin and DaNelle Hackney, both of Price; Todd and Kris Hackney, Memphis, Tenn.; brother and spouse, Robert and Margene Hackney, Price; grandson, Tanner Don Hackney; a son, Randy Garmann, Price. Preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services, Thurs., 1 p.m. at Mitchell Chapel. The family will be at Mitchell's Wednesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Thurs. one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
