The prospective owner of the San Diego Gulls has submitted a two-year contract offer to bring teenage star Eric Lindros to the International Hockey League.

Fred Comrie said the offer he sent agent Rick Curran would pay Lindros about $500,000 for the rest of the IHL season and significantly more next season. Lindros was selected by Quebec with the first overall pick in the 1991 draft, but has declined to sign with the Nordiques.Comrie will officially assume ownership of the Gulls from Ron Hahn on Monday.
