Our beloved sister, aunt, and special friend, Gayle Hendricks Elieson, age 73, passed away March 12, 1992 in a local hospital from complications following surgery.

She was born June 7, 1918 in Richmond, Utah, the second of six children of Walstein Hyer and Effa Plant Hendricks. She married Paul Leo Elieson on November 14, 1941 in Salt Lake City. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death May 22, 1989. She spent her early childhood years in Richmond, moving with her family to Salt Lake City in 1925. Started school in Richmond and then attended schools in Salt Lake City, Hamilton Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, East High School and a short time at the University of Utah. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in many capacities over the years. She loved the Relief Society and was actively serving in that organization at the time of her death. She was also an active member in Daughters of Utah Pioneers.Survived by three brothers Grant W. (June) Hendricks of Brea, California; Lynn C. (Lenora) Hendricks, and Richard L. Hendricks,f Salt Lake City; one sister Marilyn H. (J. Russell) Hansen, of Magna, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne J. Hendricks, and a nephew, Ronald K. Hansen.

Funeral services, Tuesday, March 17th, 12 noon, Stratford East Ward Chapel, 2605 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, and at the Ward on Tuesday, 11 - 11:45 a.m. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Drive, under the direction of Larkin Mortuary.
