Oprah Winfrey has filed a $300 million libel suit against a tabloid newspaper that said her fiance had sex with a cousin.

"There's no question that this story is false. The story is outrageous . . . insulting and offensive," her lawyer, Steven Molo, said. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court.The March 24 edition of News Extra featured a picture of the TV talk show host and her fiance, Stedman Graham, under the headline: "I Had Gay Affair With Oprah's Fiance: Stedman's Cousin Reveals Shocking Untold Story."

The couple seeks damages for alleged character defamation, invasion of privacy and emotional distress.
