Mazz won in six categories for the second year in a row at the 12th annual Tejano Music Awards Friday in San Antonio.

The band captured awards for song of the year, "Que Me Lleven Canciones;" single of the year, "Ven Devorame;" and album of the year, "Para Nuestra Gente."Group members Joe Lopez and Jimmy Gonzales, both of Brownsville, were honored as vocal duo of the year. Lopez won awards as songwriter of the year and male vocalist of the year.

Selema Quintanilla of Corpus Christi was female entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year, both for the fourth straight year. Emilio Navaira of San Antonio was honored as male entertainer of the year.
