Bruce Springsteen has completed work on not one but two new albums - "Human Touch" and "Lucky Town" - scheduled to be released simultaneously at the end of March on Columbia Records.
"I'm excited about being finished and am looking forward to getting out on the road," Springsteen said.The double-release is not a first, but it is still unusual. In the early '70s, Capitol released two Beatles hits packages, "1962-1966" and "1967-1970," at the same time. More recently, Guns 'N Roses
"Human Touch," his 10th album, includes 14 songs recorded over the course of a year at various Los Angeles studios with a variety of musicians, including long-time bandmate Roy Bittan and David Sancious (both keyboards), trumpeter-composer Mark Isham and singers Bobby Hatfield, Bobby King, Sam Moore and Springsteen's wife, Patti Scialfa. All of the songs were written by Springsteen, two with Bittan.
"Lucky Town," album No. 11, offers 10 songs written by Springsteen and recorded at his home studio in Los Angeles.
