Actress Eileen Brennan says she's glad she was struck by a car a decade ago.
Brennan, 56, underwent two years of rehabilitation after being hit as she stepped off the sidewalk. "I'm glad it happened," she said recently in Los Angeles. "You learn from powerful things. Initially, there's enormous anger, but your priorities get shifted around."Two years ago, she underwent a mastectomy for breast cancer.
Hearing herself described as a survivor, she responded, "We all are. They stamp that on your (Actors') Equity card."
