Thirty-six of the students, 12 winners and 24 runners-up, were named winners in the 14th annual Sterling Scholar Awards of Southwest Utah. The program is patterned after the Deseret News-KSL Sterling Scholar Awards, now in its 31st year.During ceremonies in the Dixie Center, the winners and runners-up in 12 major categories were disclosed. They were judged earlier in the day by civic leaders and educators from Dixie College and Southern Utah University.
