Imagine Ed McMahon starting a White House news conference by bellowing "Heeeere's President Johnny!" Gene Williams, a Kadoka, S.D., rancher says now that Johnny Carson is retiring from the "Tonight" show, he and McMahon should run for president and vice president on the Peacock Party ticket.

Williams, who dreamed up the ticket with four friends, says the tongue-in-cheek campaign will be so underfinanced that there won't be any political advertising until after Nov. 1. "Our campaign isn't as wealthy as the other campaigns," he said.Williams described Carson and McMahon as men who can relate to the common people and says they would be diplomatic and good bargainers because of their many divorces.
