Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never, never the same. Joshua Robert Mordue went back to his Father in Heaven on Thursday, April 2, 1992, after a valiant battle with a rare brain tumor.

He was born January 2, 1981 in Ogden, the son of Robert Hansen and Cathy Wood Mordue. Joshua was a 5th grade student at Lakeview Elementary School, where he loved and enjoyed all of his friends and teachers, whose support through this past year have brought him much happiness. He was a member of the Brigham City LDS 21st Ward, where he was active in Cub Scouts. Joshua was a sports enthusiast and participated in Jr. Jazz, Little League, and his greatest love, soccer. He enjoyed going four-wheeling with his family. He loved the ocean and educated himself about marine life, especially whales. He is survived by his parents; and sister,

Kimberlee, who was his best friend and greatest supporter, all of Brigham City; also his grandparents, Bill and Helen Wood, Huntsville; Hansen and Marilyn Mordue, Agoura, Calif.; great-grandmothers, Beulah Murray, Durango, Colo.; Winona Mordue, Bountiful; seven uncles, seven aunts, and 19 cousins.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 12 noon in the Brigham City LDS 21st Ward Chapel, 865 So. 300 West, with Bishop Reed Haddock officiating. Friends may call at the Olsen-Myers Mortuary, 205 So. 100 East, Sunday from

6-8 p.m. and Monday 10:30-11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in memory of Joshua to the Make A Wish Foundation of Utah, 1399 So. 700 East, #3, Salt Lake City, UT 84105, so that other children's wishes can come true.
