Anastasia "Ann" Mary Vaughan, 86, died April 4, 1992 in Salt Lake City.

Anastasia Mary, also known as Ann Vaughan, was born March 4, 1906, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Thomas and Anastasia Walsh Vaughan. She had eight brothers. She attended St. Mary's Academy in Salt Lake City at it's original location on 1st West between 2nd and 3rd South, and graduated from West High School in June, of 1924. After graduation, Ann went to work in the office at Holy Cross Hospital, and for 47 years, served there in one or another responsible positions. She witnessed the growth of the hospital from a small hospital to the large medical center of today. She was an active member of the Cathedral of Madeleine Parish since 1928, and a member of the Meynell Club, a group of Catholic business and professional women.Survived by four brothers, John T. Vaughan, Salt Lake City; Dennis V. Vaughan, San Francisco, Calif.; Daniel V. Vaughan, Sunnyvale, Calif.; and Rev. Laurence S. Vaughan, Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers of Maryknoll, New York. Her younger brother, was the late Monsignor William E. Vaughan, Pastor Emeritus of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cathedral of the Madeleine Restoration Fund.

Funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 8, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. Vigil service will be held Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 1st South, where friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. Committal service will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 4th Ave and T Street.
