Israeli jets attacked positions of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah in a cluster of Shiite villages in southern Lebanon Tuesday, killing at least three people and wounding 12 others, security and military sources said.

A squadron of 12 U.S-made F-16 Israeli warplanes fired about 150 rockets on Hezbollah bases in hills overlooking villages in the Iklim Al Toffah region, east of this port city 24 miles south of Beirut, beginning around 11:35 a.m., military sources said.
