Gladys Layton died June 9, 1992 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born March 10, 1897 in Kaysville, Utah to Clara Maria Hyde Layton and Christopher Edward Layton. As a young woman she moved to California where she became a prominent business woman in San Mateo, owning and operating the Layton Fine Furnishings Furniture Store. A talented artistic interior decorator and was well known for her expertise in interior design. Gladys loved flowers, gardening and especially her hobby of growing Bonsai trees at which she was an expert. A lovely cultured lady that was loved and respected by all who knew her. Gladys resided in Calif. until 3 years ago when she moved to Salt Lake to reside with a sister, Alice L. Stoker.Survived by a brother, Willis H. Layton, centerville, Utah; Mabel Rosa, Caldwell, Idaho; Lena L. DuPaix, Salt Lake; and Alice L. Stoker; and Dr. Frank L. Johnson, both of Salt Lake.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 12th at 12 noon at Larkin Sunset Lawn Chapel, 2350 East 1300 South where friends may call the hour prior. Interment, Larkin Sunset Lawn.
