Ronald Alvin Carlson, 62, passed away June 11, 1992 in Salt Lake City.

He was born October 17, 1929 in Salt Lake City to Alvin Joseph and Helen Lindstrom Carlson. Married Lorraine Davis February 11, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ron was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions, including Bishop. He had a genuine love for the people he served.He has worked in the wholesale hardware business all of his life and was employed by Pro-Mark at the time of his death. Ron enjoyed the people he worked with and as a family we express our sincere gratitude for their continuing support through these past months.

In the face of great challenges he continued to be a source of strength to his family. He taught us all what matters most: family, faith, and an unwavering trust in the Lord.

He is survived by his mother, Salt Lake City; wife; and five children: Christine Martin (Danny), Baudette, Minn.; Colleen Burnham (Dave), Farmington; Brett R. (Celena), Bountiful; Karen Bell (Duff), Centerville; David A. Carlson, Bountiful; sister, Judy Mansell (Larry), Fruit Heights; and five wonderful grandchildren whom he loved fishing, rock hunting, and camping with. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Dene Glissmeyer.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 1992, 11 a.m. in the Bountiful 10th Ward, 1145 North 200 East. Friends maycall at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Sunday evening 6-8 p.m., and Monday at the chapel from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment, Lakeview Cemetery.
