Beehive Business and Leisure Travel, 1130 W. Center, has joined Carlson Travel Network, the oldest U.S. travel management company with more than 2,100 locations worldwide.

The association makes immediate benefits available to Beehive clients, said Mark Rose, who owns and operates Beehive with his wife, Josephine. The benefits include discounted vacations, tours, cruises, business travel services and advertising and marketing support.CTN soon expects to certify Beehive Travel as a corporate business center, said Terry Robertson, vice president and general manager. To qualify as a CBC, a company- owned or associate office must agree to comply with strict standards of providing consistent quality service to its clients.

The Roses started in the travel business in 1983 when they purchased Bonneville Travel, Murray. In 1986, they expanded by buying Beehive Travel, which was founded in 1958 as one of the first Utah travel agencies.

Beehive has six offices in Utah and seven locations in Nevada and Southern California operating under the name of Bonneville Travel. Beehive has annual sales of $65 million while Carlson had $6.1 billion in revenue in 1991.
