Clawson's tourism background began in 1958 when he took over the travel business his mother started in 1933. He also is a member of the executive committee of the Salt Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Salt Palace Advisory Board and Oversight Committee and the Utah Symphony board of trustees."One of the most important things the travel council board of commissioners can accomplish is to be a guiding force behind improving the state's infrastructure to accommodate the tourism business and build for the future," he said.
