Davis School District has named Douglas H. Beer as the new principal of Woods Cross High School.
Beer, who is a Centerville native, replaces J. Wallace Hawkins, who is a new area director for the district.Beer comes to Woods Cross from South Summit High School, where he was principal. He served as principal of South Summit Middle School for five years prior to that and was also a history and government teacher at Grantsville High School.
He has an administrative certificate and master's degree in education from the University of Utah. His awards include a Fulbright Hayes grant to the Middle East.
