A man accused of stalking singer Janet Jackson has pleaded not guilty to sending threatening mail.
Frank Paul Jones, 33, of New York, entered the plea Thursday in federal court and was held without bail.Jones allegedly sent Jackson up to 40 letters with threats against her, her boyfriend, her brother Michael Jackson, movie director John Singleton and President Bush, according to the FBI.
Jones was arrested June 22 outside the Jackson family compound in Encino, Calif., and was charged with trespassing and stalking. Those charges were dropped Wednesday after federal prosecutors took over the case.
