Viola Matthews Kadleck Hofeldt, age 82, died of natural causes on July 30, 1992 at her home in Salt Lake City.
Born February 12, 1910 in Bennion, Utah to Henry William and Minnie Palmer Matthews. Married Wade W. Kadleck on August 17, 1928 in Salt Lake City and later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in April 1955. Married R. C. "Buck" Hofeldt in October 1963 in Wyoming and he preceded her in death in November 1974. Active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions and was a temple worker. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss her.Survived by six children, Patricia (Jerry) Gaumond, David (Carolyn) Kadleck, Marcia (C.C.) White, Judith (Winston) Taylor, Sally Kadleck, all Salt Lake City; and Roger W. (Bonnie) Kadleck, Rohnert Park, Calif.; 26 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Sidney Matthews, Midvale, Utah. Preceded in death by two children and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral services Saturday, August 1st, at 11 a.m., Poplar Grove Ward, 1401 West 700 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Friday evening 6 - 8 p.m., and at the ward on Saturday, 10 - 10:30 a.m. Burial will be on Monday, August 3rd, in the Taylorsville Cemetery, 4500 South Redwood Road.
