Chili Davis hit a two-out, two-run single in the 15th inning Saturday, rallying Minnesota past the Baltimore Orioles 3-2 in the Twins' longest game since 1986.

The Orioles took a 2-1 lead in the top half when Randy Milligan, who had left the bases loaded in his previous two at-bats, led off with a double and scored on Mark McLemore's single.Gregg Olson (1-3) relieved to pitch the 15th and struck out the first two Twins. But Chuck Knoblauch and Kirby Puckett followed with singles and Kent Hrbek walked to load the bases for Davis, who singled down the right-field line.

Carl Willis (2-2) got two outs in the 15th for the victory. Minnesota has won seven of its last eight games and 14 of 17. The Twins had lost five in a row to Baltimore since winning their first meeting of the season.

The game was the longest for the Twins since they played 16 innings against Texas on June 11, 1986. The Orioles played 15 against Kansas City last July 17.

Baltimore stranded runners in scoring position in the ninth, 10th, 12th and 13th innings before breaking the tie. Todd Frohwirth shut out the Twins for five innings on three hits until Olson relieved.

In the Orioles' 12th, Rick Aguilera relieved with the bases loaded and one out, and struck out Glenn Davis and got Milligan on a grounder.

Baltimore loaded the bases with two outs in the 10th and Milligan hit a ball into the left-field seats that was foul by three feet, then flied out. Earlier in the inning, third base coach Cal Ripken Sr. was ejected for arguing a called strike to his son, Cal Jr.

Joe Orsulak tripled with one out in the ninth, but Twins starter Scott Erickson struck out Leo Gomez and retired McLemore on a soft liner.
