One-quarter of Germans agree fully or in large part with the rightist extremist slogan "Foreigners Out," according to the results of a poll released on Friday.

More than half of at least 2,000 people surveyed said the extremist rallying cry "Germany for the Germans" was justified to a great extent.Rightist thugs have been chanting both slogans during three weeks of rampages.

The independent Infas survey was conducted largely before the wave of anti-refugee violence broke out last month, but it confirmed that ultra-nationalist sentiments have taken root in a large segment of the population.
