"Your children do not always do what you want them to," says arch-conservative Phyllis Schlafly, whose firstborn has revealed that he is gay.
John Schlafly, 41, disclosed his homosexuality in an interview with the San Francisco Examiner. Phyllis Schlafly is best known for her staunch opposition to the Equal Rights Amendment for women, homosexual rights and sex education in schools.In an interview with UPI, she called the media attention to her son's sexual orientation a "feeding frenzy."
"I love my son," declared Schlafly. "I do know he is supportive of family values and of the Republican platform in general and of my work."
