Sherman H. Brown, of Salt Lake City, died Sept. 6, 1992 at the age of 74, after a life-long battle with various cancers.

Born in Kanab, Utah, September 28, 1917 to John Hyrum and Josephine Findlay Brown. The fourth of 11 children. Married Elisabeth Estenschied July 5, 1944; she died May 21, 1957. Married Lois Faulkner, December 30, 1957; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Survived by wife, two children, Mark S. Brown, wife, Nanette and Betty B. He worked 35 years for P.I.E., many as a line-driver from which he retired in 1980. He loved camping, fishing and hunting with his family in the Southern, Utah area. Lived the past nine winters in Arizona, 6 of which were in Quartzsite, where he leaves many loved friends. He was a late convert to the LDS Church, although coming from a long line of Utah pioneers. He served in the Winder Stake as ward clerk and 11 years as an extraction missionary of the German films.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., September 11, 1992 at the South Cottonwood 13th Ward, 5235 So. Wesley Rd. (1120 East). Friends may call at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday at the Church one hour prior to service. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
