Principal photography has started on "The Son-in-Law," starring Pauly Shore in a Hollywood Pictures' production, a subsidiary of the Disney company.

The story is based on a conservative rural couple whose daughter returns to the farm for a visit after her first term in college - bringing with her a funky, rock 'n' roll boyfriend in the person of Shore.Cindy Pickett and Lane Smith will be seen as the confounded parents with Carla Gugino playing their daughter. Scheduled for release next May, "The Son-in-Law" will be filmed in Los Angeles and on locations in Visalia, Calif.
