The death of one teenager and the serious injury of two others has prompted Disney to cut from a new movie a scene that the youths apparently imitated by lying down in a street.

The Walt Disney Co. acknowledged that the teens may have been imitating a brief sequence near the start of "The Program," in which several drunk college football players stretch out in the middle of a busy road.Disney said the scene, as well as the film's coming attractions trailer that shows part of the scene, will be pulled this week.

A pickup truck ran over 18-year-old Michael Shingledecker on Saturday in Polk, Pa., as he and friends lay on a highway dividing line. His parents said he was mimicking the scene from "The Program." Another teen was critically injured.

"Michael would never come up with this on his own. He was adventurous but not stupid," his mother, Patty Shingledecker, said at his funeral Tuesday.

Dean Bartlett, 17, who also was hit by the truck, was in serious condition Tuesday at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
