Candidates will be running for office for the first time during the general election in 13 communities in the tri-county area of Sevier, Wayne and Piute counties.
Opting for the primary election system are six communities in Sevier County, four in Piute County and three in Wayne County.Not a single candidate filed for office in Bicknell, Wayne County, so voters will make their choices by way of a write-in ballot.
In Kingston, Piute County, only one candidate filed for two council positions, so a write-in will also win office in that town.
Here are candidates in communities that did not have primary elections. Two council candidates will be elected unless otherwise noted.
Sevier County
