On October 1, 1993, at the age of 86, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Carlyle Burt "Chris" Christensen, passed away peacefully at home.

He was born July 27, 1907 in Brigham City, Utah to John Peter Christensen and Isabelle Burt Christensen. He married Freda Crosby September 6, 1931 in Coalville, Utah; the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He was an accountant with Mountain Fuel Supply Company for 37 years. He was a faithful member of the LDS Church, serving as ward clerk, counselor in two bishoprics, bishop, stake high counselor, stake Sunday School president and various other positions. He served as a Salt Lake Temple worker for over 20 years. He enjoyed singing in various choirs for more than 60 years and loved directing and performing in numerous plays. He enjoyed gardening and especially raising roses. He was an avid reader.He is survived by his dear wife of 62 years, Freda; children: Wayne C. (Terri), of Bountiful, Utah; Ann Bowman, serving with her husband, Carlos M. Bowman, president of the Leon Mexico Mission; Faye (Robert) Maxfield, Holladay, Utah; Jo-Marie (Mac) Woolf, Mesa, Arizona; Helen (Mark) Astill, Centerville, Utah; brother, Morley B. Christensen; sisters, Florence Call, and Louise Hunter; 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Susan and Frank; two sisters, Hazel and Elma; and a grandson, Tony Woolf.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 1993, 12 noon at the Nibley Park Ward, 2450 South 600 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may visit Monday, October 4, 1993 from 6-8 p.m. at Colonial Mortuary, 2128 South State Street, Salt Lake City, or one hour prior to services at the Nibley Park Ward.
