Our beloved, father, grandfather, and friend, Herald McKee, age 86, passed away peacefully, November 17, 1993 in Salt Lake City.
Herald was born May 8, 1907, in Huntington, Utah, the son of James Albert and Eliza Mae Sherman McKee. He married Anna Belle Guymon on May 19, 1932 in the Manti LDS Temple; she preceded him in death on September 26, 1968. He then married Pearl Elizabeth Tribbett Pace on December 21, 1968 in Murray, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Pearl preceded him in death on April 5, 1990. Worked for the Salt Lake Flour Mill for many years. Active High Priest in the LDS Church.He enjoyed riding in the Salt Lake Palomino Posse, carving and woodwork, landscaping and dancing in the friendly Dance Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Delores ((Richard) Scharman, Marjorie Jean (Lloyd) Peterson, both Cottonwood Heights; four sons, Harold Reese (Shirley) McKee, Ogden, Royce Larry (Anna Dee) McKee and Earl Garry (Marie) McKee, both Salt Lake City, and MarVell James (Sandra) McKee, Denver, Colo.; two step-sons, Larry (Veronica) Pace, GA, and Paul (Holly) Pace, St. George; two step-daughters, Sharron (Don) Tripp, Midvale, and Melody Taylor, Moab; 49 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; a brother, Floyd (Reva) McKee, Price; and three sisters, Vivian Stevens and Velma Anderson, both Price, and Hazel (Lee) McMullin, Cleveland, UT. Preceded in death by a step-son; a grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday November 22, at 12 noon, in the Rosecrest First Ward, 3101 So. 2300 East, with Aaron L. Peterson officiating. Friends may call Sunday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 So. 2300 East, and at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens of the Valley.
