Eliza Jane Hoggan Goss, age 77, passed away peacefully at home, November 18, 1993.

Born April 13, 1916 in Salt Lake City to James R. and Ruby Eliza Reid Hoggan. Married on Sept. 26, 1935 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, to Joseph Alma Goss, her husband and eternal companion who was by her side for 58 years. He nurtured her with his angelic care during her lingering illness.She loved the Lord and served in many positions in the LDS Church including twice as a Relief Society president. Established a ceramic studio and taught for many years. Thousands of lives were enriched by her artistic talents.

Survived by her husband; two daughters, Donna Deanne (Mrs. Russ J. Davey) and Kathleen Jane Goss; four grandchildren, Nate J. Davey (Lori), Cindy Michelle (Mrs. Brett E. McDonald), Mike J. Davey, and Natalie Joy Davey; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Ann Davey; and two brothers, J. Reid Hoggan (his wife, DeVone), and George R. Hoggan (his wife, Peggy, deceased). Preceded in death by a son, Phillip Alma Goss and two sisters, Donna (Mrs. Joseph Clair Smith) and Ruby Diana (Mrs. Glenn Andrew)

Funeral services on Monday, November 22, at 12 noon, Mt. Olympus 9th Ward Chapel, 4635 South Lanark Road (3315 East). Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Sunday evening 6:30-8:00 p.m. and at the ward on Monday, 10:30-11:45 a.m.

Burial, Mount Olivet Cemetery.
