Gladys Rea Bennett Erickson, age 63, passed away Sunday, November 21, 1993 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born May 22, 1930 in New Liskeard, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Roy Leonard and Harriet Agnes Wellerman Bennett.She married William Earl Erickson, May 19, 1955 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Rea worked for the Canadian Government Department of Indian Affairs in Ottawa, Canada prior to her marriage. Graduated from Tabor Business College and attended three years at Brigham Young University. She worked for the Davis County Clipper for 15 years. Held various positions in her 19th Ward including typist for the ward newsletter, Sunday School secretary, and name extraction missionary.

Survivors include her husband, William, Bountiful; children: Danna Rea Rongstad, Deerlodge, Montana; Nola Mae Van Wagenen, Bountiful; Roy William Erickson, Saugus, Calif.; Afton Jan Monahan, Vinegrove, Kentucky; Richard Clay Erickson, Provo; Earlene Fay Mugleston, Bountiful; Justin Bennett Erickson, Salt Lake City; and Kristin Isabella Weber, Provo; 15 grandchildren; brothers, C. Clifford Bennett, Almonte, Ontario, Canada; and G. Harris Bennett, Columbia, Maryland; sisters, Pearl A. Michelsen, Kaysville; and Anna L. Zion, Sunset, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 1993 at 12 noon, in the Bountiful 19th Ward, 1500 North 400 East. Friends may call at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery.
