Miss Jamaica Lisa Hanna, the newly crowned Miss World 1993, is flanked by Miss South Africa Jacqueline Mofokeng, first runner-up, and Miss Philippines Sharmaine Gutierrez, second runner-up. The exuberant Hanna, 18, charmed the crowd and judges at Sun City, South Africa, to win the title, succeeding Julia Kurotchinka of Russia. The judges - including actor Lou Gosset Jr., novelist Frederick Forsyth, model and actress Twiggy, actress Grace Jones and model Christie Brinkley - chose from among 81 contestants.
