Heber Morton Murdock, 83, died November 7, 1993 at home.

Born April 23, 1910 in Kaysville, Utah to Heber and Effie Ophelia Morton Murdock. Married Beulah Giles October 10, 1934 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Worked in the non-ferrous mining industry and lived in Heber City, Mercur, Salt Lake City, and Pioche, Nevada.

Though he worked in the mining industry most of his life, he was a cowboy at heart and died with his boots on. Active High Priest in the LDS Church, he served in various positions throughout his life.

He joins now in Heaven his beloved wife, Beulah Giles and one brother, Daniel Murdock.

Survived by daughter, Mrs. John (Sonja) Whitten, four grandchildren, Michael R. Sperry, David Murdock Sperry, Ryan and Angelena C. Jakeman, Shelbilyn and Chris Moore, two great-grandchildren, Sonora Ashley Moore, and Trevor Morton Jakeman, an adopted grandchild, Rozane DeSilva, all of Salt Lake City; brother and sister, John H. Murdock, Kaysville; and Mary Stroud, Salt Lake City.

He was a great storyteller and prankster. He loved poetry and small children. He was a friend to everyone he knew. He is missed.

Funeral services Thursday, 12 noon, at the Colonial Hills 2nd Ward, 1455 South 1700 East. Friends may call at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church, one hour prior to services. Burial, Heber City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Olpin Mortuary, Heber City.

Family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
