Utah rewrote the record books on Saturday night.

The Utes defeated Oklahoma in five games, 15-6, 13-15, 10-15, 16-14, and 24-22. The match lasted two hours and 15 minutes.With the win, the Utes improve to 25-10. Utah plays Louisiana State in a National Invitational Volleyball Tournament semifinal match today at 10 a.m. In an earlier game Saturday, the Utes beat Stephen F. Austin, 15-8, 15-7, 12-15, and 15-4.

The Utes were up 10-3 in the second game before the Sooners rallied to win. Julie Kirby led all Utah hitters with a season-high 30 kills on four errors on 63 attempts (.413). Kirby moved into second place in the single-match record book for most kills. She also totaled 33 digs to lead all Utes on defense, which is a career high and a new school record in single match digs.

Katie Christensen also had a career-night, recording 61 assists and 22 digs. Mikki Kane-Barton had a season-high 23 kills on four errors with 49 attempts (.388) and added 12 blocks, while Sharman Grant collected 20 kills on 14 errors with 74 attempts for a .216 hitting efficiency. Kane-Barton also set a new NIVT record for total blocks .
