John Rasicot Groberg, age 76, of Brigham City, died Monday, February 22, 1993 at University Hospital of acute leukemia.

He was born December 25, 1916 in Farr West, Utah to Charles August and Martha Hermine Rasicot Groberg. He married Daisy Vontella Andersen on December 30, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.From 1940-42 he served an LDS mission to Texas. Active in the LDS church, he has served in many callings. He and his wife served as temple workers in the Ogden Temple and, in 1987, served in the Ohio-Columbus Mission. At the time of his death, he served in the family name-extraction program. He drove trucks on the Alcan Highway and operated a farm. In 1979, after working several years in the Davis County Sewer District, he moved to Brigham City as superintendent of Brigham Water & Sewer District. He retired in 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy; six sons and one daughter, Curtis R., Woods Cross; Lowell A., Sandy; Vontella G. Miller, Honeyville; Dayle A., West Jordan; Glen and Reid, West Bountiful; John A., Magna; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Richard, Porterville; Stanley, Farr West; Hermine Barker, North Ogden; Velma Hunt, serving a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.

He was preceded in death by one son, Enoch J.; and two brothers, Charles A. and Sidney.

Funeral services Thursday, February 25th, at 11 a.m., at the Brigham City West Stake Center, 531 North 100 West, Brigham City. Friends may call Wednesday evening 6 - 8 pm, at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, and at the Brigham City West Stake Center on Thursday, 9-10:30 a.m. Burial, Penrose Cemetery.
