Cyril L. Black, age 69, died at his home in Naples, Florida on February 21, 1993.

He was born August 21, 1923, in Marysvale, Utah to C. Thomas and Vinnie Sudweeks Black. He married Jayne Justesen in 1953. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cyril was a pilot in the U.S. Navy. He was a graduate of the University of Utah.He worked for Galiger in Salt Lake City until he was transferred to New Jersey. He then moved to Baltimore, Maryland where he became president of Tate Engineering Co. for 30 years. Upon retiring he made his home in Naples, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, one son, Kevin Black, Virginia; three daughters, Paula Baker, Pennsylvania; Pat Leaki, California and Sue Robinson, Salt Lake City, Utah; he has 15 grandchildren, one brother, Cline Black, Provo, Utah; one sister, Barbara Newby, Clearfield, Utah.

Funeral services will be held in Baltimore, Maryland. There will be a memorial service at Berg Mortuary Provo, 185 East Center St. at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, 1993. Interment: East Lawn Memorial Hills, Provo, 450 North 650 East.
