Bessie Painter Naef Wankier, age 84, passed away March 17, 1993, while visiting in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born October 25, 1908 in Nephi, Utah to Henry and Anna Norman Painter. Married Roy Naef; later divorced. He died September 15, 1975. Married Ferrell Wankier December 29, 1972.Bessie worked for many years as a sales person at LR Samuels and Castletons in Ogden. She was past president of the Lady Does. Bessie was loved by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path and will be dearly missed. She was active in the LDS Church.
Survived by her husband of Levan; and one son, Evan Naef and wife Carol of Bountiful; daughter-in-law, Bernice Naef of Layton; daughter, Lois Orr of Las Vegas, Nev.; Farrell's family, Norine and Charles Foote, Ferrell, Jr. and Dianna Wankier, all of Salt Lake City; Vicky and Joe Nelson of Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ray and Howard Painter, both Ogden. Preceded in death by a son, Donald Naef.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 1993, in the Levan LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi, and at the church, one hour prior to services. Burial in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, Nephi
